This course is one of two in a series designed to help students learn and communicate basic principles of architectural design and construction systems. Besides the basics of residential design and drafting (on AutoCAD 2013), topics include today’s design issues (such as environmental design factors), access for people with disabilities, and disaster prevention design. In addition to structural systems, students also learn about the many support services required in the field of architectural design and construction.
